My Thirtieth Year: 21

I'm really intrigued by the concept being put forward in this video.

Because 'story' is the new, hip, Evangelical buzzword.

Because the intangible concept of 'story' is something that has captivated me for years.

Because to tell stories and be caught up in narratives is human.

Because like most tools and good gifts, story can be abused.

I think it's worth the sixteen minutes.

So really - how do we hide behind narratives?

Are the narratives we use to define our life really too simple?

Are God's narratives too simple? I hesitate to affirm this... perhaps the better question is whether our understanding of God' narrative is too simple?

Does the concept of narrative really cover every aspect of our life? Or are we forcing it to do more than it is intended to do?
